Italian Visual Development Artist Valerio Fabbretti creates whimsical animation and illustrations which seamlessly blend vintage European and contemporary American styles. He attended San Francisco’s Academy of Art University where his popular and award-winning work was a prominent part of every major school exhibition from 2009 through 2014. He has created original illustrations for publication in numerous children’s media outlets, both online and in print, including mobile application FarFaria, for Intuary Inc, Write Brain Books of Los Angeles, Harper Collins, Simon and Schuster, and the beloved children’s magazines Highlights, and The Friend. Valerio worked with Dreamworks Animation legend Daniel Hashimoto to illustrate the children’s book based on Action Movie Kid, a successful YouTube series destined to become a Fox feature film. He has worked on video games for Disney Interactive productions, and children’s television network Nick Jr. for the show Fresh Beat Band of Spies. He has also exhibited his work as part of numerous solo and group shows at Berkeley’s Trickster Gallery, founded by Jeffrey Pidgeon of Pixar; and has been in shows at the Nucleus Gallery in Los Angeles. Valerio lives and works in the Greater Los Angeles Area, where he continues to carry out his acclaimed Visual Development work for the top animated programming channel Cartoon Network among other companies and organizations across the U.S.
