Martin Capella is a music composer, sound designer, and multi-instrumentalist from Mexico. He has composed numerous pieces for film, dance, and theater. His orchestral piece Ixbalanque (2007) was winner of the First Philharmonic of the America’s Young Composers Competition and he successfully created the score for the award winning Deuce (2010), a stop motion work by Monica Cook that was screened at five Guggenheim museums. He is a recipient of the prestigious Fulbright fellowship and holds a master of fine arts degree in music composition from New York University. Martin is currently based in New York City where he is composing pieces for a string quartet as well as scoring for several films.
