Marco Lawrence is a distinguished printmaker from the United Kingdom who specializes in screen-printing. After traveling to New Zealand to apprentice with a master bone-carver, and studying stone lithography and intaglio techniques with Paul Dewis, Lucien Freud’s Master Etcher, Marco began to establish himself as a master printmaker in his own right. He produced a limited edition silkscreen for the cover of Philip Connors’ book Fire Season, for acclaimed publishing house Pan Macmillan. He illustrated and hand-printed an installation for the London offices of Wieden + Kennedy, one of the world’s largest and most successful, independent, creative networks. His work has been featured numerous times in both popular and industry magazines including Creative Review, People of Print, It’s Nice That, Juxtapoz and Design Milk. As Head Printer at the prestigious Print Club London he has overseen the exponential growth of the scale of the studio’s business, as well as their standing within the artistic community. He recently partnered with the Design Museum to create stunning limited edition silkscreens of posters for a lecture series, and was commissioned by luxury interiors brand Bert & May to design and print huge scale decorative work for their East London showrooms. Marco holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours with a focus in Fine Art, Printing and Drawing from Leeds Metropolitan University. Marco is currently living in New York where he is working with distinguished studios, galleries, and artist collectives to produce fine art prints of the highest quality.
